Brotherhood:
- Sigma Chi has a brotherhood that is over 155 years old with over 270,000 brothers internationally.
- We have more active alumni than the other top five fraternities' alumni combined.
- There are 222 undergraduate and 145 alumni chapters around the world including North America and Europe.
Philanthropy:
- Our chapter has raised over $60,000 for charity in the past four years - more than any other fraternity on UCI's campus.
- In 2008 alone, Sigma Chi's Annual Philanthropy "Derby Days" raised over $18,000 for the Huntsman Cancer Institute and CHOC Hospital.
- Sigma Chi won Alpha Chi Omega's and Kappa Sigma's 2010 Le Carnival, Kappa Kappa Gamma's 2010 Reading is Key, Alpha Phi's 2010 Red Dress Gala, and Delta Gamma's 2008 Anchor Splash.
- In 2006 and 2008 the Greek Community awarded Sigma Chi's Derby Days Philanthropy as the Most Outstanding Philanthropic Event in the Greek Community.
- Sigma Chi received Best in Show with the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority for their 2010 Songfest Performance, "9 to 5."
Recognitions:
- Sigma Chi was the first fraternity founded at UCI originally chartered on January 25, 1975.
- The Eta Sigma Chapter won the Peterson Award in 2009 and 2010, the highest award given by Sigma Chi.
- Sigma Chi was chosen by the Greek Community as the 2006, 2008, 2009, AND 2010 recipient of the Order of Omega's Chancellor's Cup for Overall Excellence.
- Sigma Chi was chosen over all other campus organizations as the 2007 recipient of the Dean of Student's Humanitarian/Community Service Award.
- We have received the Order of Omega's Aldrich Award for Community Service for the past 6 years.
- UCI Greeks chose Sigma Chi to receive the 2008 and 2006 award for Excellence in Fraternity Recruitment.
- The Order of Omega honored our chapter with the 2006 award for Excellence in Scholarship Programming.
- Our chapter adivsors Ross Nemeroff and Jim Caras have received the Order of Omega's award for Most Outstanding Chapter Advisor for the past 4 of 5 years.
